About AlohaBlu
Aloha! I'm Christina, owner of AlohaBlu, Inc.
~
I am a fiber-obsessed enthusiast who loves knitting, yarn/fiber dyeing, spinning & weaving and more.

I am a born & raised Southern Californian who has cultivated a love for the magical Hawaiian Islands. I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in Hawaii while working on a project. On these islands, the name AlohaBlu was born, capturing the famous Aloha spirit while embraced by the beautiful blue Pacific ocean. We have since moved back to the mainland, but Hawaii will always be 'home'.
~
I taught myself to knit as a stress-reliever to a fun & demanding career in production management for the feature animation film industry. Knitting scarves led to sweaters then I found sock knitting! Designing sock patterns came next and was thrilled when I my patterns were accepted into the Independent Designers Program on KnitPicks.com.

I love to take pictures so many of my colorways are inspired by travel photos or just the scenery here in SoCal. I am constantly inspired and awed by the wonderful work my fellow artisans create, and find it exciting to connect with such imaginative folks from all over the world.
~
When I'm not dyeing or knitting, I enjoy hanging out with my hubby, watching movies, tv shows and sports - especially American football (Skol Vikings)! I love good food and one day hope to have a fraction of the cooking talent as my mom. :)

Enjoy the shoppe and mahalo for stopping by!
