This listing is for the Shoreline Socks PATTERN which is a toe-up sock pattern using 2 different fingering weight yarns for size Medium and Large.
Shoreline Socks were inspired by the trails along the Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline which includes amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, migrating humpback whales and the beautiful Makapu'u Lighthouse on the island of Oahu! This pattern is a toe-up charted sock pattern knitted on two circular needles, available in sizes Medium & Large, and feature a checkerboard and stripe pattern on both sides of the socks. This design is great for pairing dark and light colored yarns or a variegated with a solid yarn.
These are Fair-Isle knitted socks and the pattern is suitable for advanced beginner to intermediate knitters. Pattern includes color charts for the instep and foot. The pattern is in digital (.pdf) form form and is available for instant download.
Pattern uses:
- 2.75mm circular needles (I use 2x - 16” circulars)
- Medium size: One 50-gram ball of fingering yarn in Main Color and One 50-gram ball of fingering yarn in Contrast Color
- Large size: Two 50-gram balls of fingering yarn in Main Color and One 50-gram ball of fingering yarn in Contrast Color
